Joint Select Committee on Tax Reform to Meet May 18 in Charleston Email to a friend Printer friendly view Friday, May 15, 2015 – 01:24 Edited from a Press Release CHARLESTON – The Joint Select Committee on Tax Reform will meet at 9 a.m. May 18 in the House Government Organization Committee Room (Room 215-E) at the Capitol. The first session of the morning will be an academic panel on tax reform. Dr. Jose V. “Zito” Sartarelli, Dean of the College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University; Dr. John Deskins, Director of the Bureau of Business and Economic Research at WVU; and Dr. Jennifer Shand, Director of the Center of Business and Economic Research at Marshall University, are scheduled to speak to the Committee. Other sessions include: Overview of State Tax Issues with two representatives from the Tax Foundation – Joseph Henchman, Vice President of State Projects, and Jared Walczak, Policy Analyst Perspectives on West Virginia Tax Structure and Reform with Ferdinand S. Hogroian, Senior Tax and Legislative Counsel with the Counsel on State Taxation Trends and Tax Reform Efforts in Other States with Mandy Rafool, Fiscal Affairs Policy Staff with the National Conference of State Legislatures Meeting agendas and presentations are subject to change.
